About Rory

Rory O’Connor began his real estate career in 1984 after a long tenure as a corporate and sales marketing executive.

After establishing himself as a top agent with a local franchise, Rory founded Saratoga Real Property in 1995. His vision was a nontraditional real estate company; where he envisioned working with clients personally, rather than following the accepted model of hiring lots of agents. The concept worked, the company grew, and was chosen to develop, build, market and sell “The Village at Saratoga,” creating an entirely new Saratoga neighborhood. Rory has also managed the building and renovation of homes for individual clients.
In 2005 he purchased an old Masonic temple in Ballston Spa, NY. He then re-purposed the massive Victorian home to an office building featuring all-inclusive office suites.

This concept had its doubters, but over 10 years later the 199 Professional Building has proven its place as the home of the both the former NYS Senator Hugh Farley’s District Office, and now the NYS Assembly District Offices of Mary Beth Walsh, as well as successful attorneys, CPA’s, therapists, and other professionals.

Rory is also involved with the local Realtor Board and has served on many committees. He is also an Instructor the GCAR Realtor school and was named to the GCAR Board of Directors in 2016.
