As a Florida Native, I was raised in South Florida before the days of air conditioning as a standard in homes. Life was simpler back then, no high tech games, just good old fashion kick ball or hide and seek and riding our bikes for hours on end. No cell phones to call home, you were told to be home when the street lights came on. And it's hard to believe that was only back in the late 60's and 70's. This is partly what brought me to Sebastian, where the simple easy living, good neighbors, good friends, and our natural resources have been preserved.
Sebastian hosts two rivers, St. Sebastian River and the Indian River and quick & easy access to the Sebastian Inlet to get to the Atlantic Ocean. We have wonderful Islands in the Indian River to camp on, fish from or just kick back in your beach chair and enjoy life.
Our Rivers offer everything from Redfish/Red Drum, Flounder, Spotted Sea Trout, Snook, and Tarpon. Off the coast we have King Fish/King Mackeral, Spanish Mackeral, Dolphin/Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo some of the largest Spiny Lobsters from the state.
Come enjoy Sebastian where fishing, SCUBA, kayaking and just plan relaxing on our beautiful beaches is a way of life.
