If you need a realtor that is 100% willing to help you buy and sell your property, we highly recommend Ruth. She comes to the showing prepared and knowledgeable about the property, the home's amenities, the price range history, and homeowners association. Having no experience with a pool, Ruth guided us about how the pumps worked, pool companies, etc. One of the other important qualities of Ruth is that she is very responsive in returning your calls and texts with answers to questions you have. We purchased the home that she showed us and then asked her to sell our condo. Ruth used professional photographers who knew how to show our home and it sold within a day of listing.

Ruth Laurent is one of the best realtors you'll ever find. I guess you could call me a 'high maintenance' customer, as I live across the country and this is a long distance move. Ruth went the extra mile and then some for me. Since we ended up needing to work long distance, Ruth was able to send me videos, help me line up inspectors while giving me her honest feedback along the way.

I've had some great realtors but I can't imagine anyone being as thorough and flexible as Ruth. I feel very lucky to have found her! Florida Gulf Coast Life has been a dream of mine for a long time and now my dream is coming true.

I needed to sell my Venice home and was not able to be on site prior to the sale. Ruth was instrumental in helping me prep the home from afar to get it to market. Having never sold a home before Ruth had the patience of a saint and walked me step by step through the entire process, explaining any questions I had and there were many!!! While sad for personal reasons about the sale, her kindness and understanding truly made the entire process run smoothly and without any issues!!! While planning our move we were lucky to find a rental for three months , and the agent was Ruth. I told her that we were going to be house hunting and she started sending me listings that fit our needs.
When we arrived in Venice, Ruth was there to greet us! She showed us the condo and made sure we were comfortable. The next day we were looking at properties. Ruth was very professional and always had the facts on all the properties we looked at. She even schooled some of the other realtors as to details on houses we toured. We always felt the most important thing to her was finding us what we wanted. We consider her a friend and would recommend Ruth to any one in need of a realtor! Ruth is professional , efficient , knowledgeable , and works hard for her clients!

No, you didn’t “need” a realtor when we decided to build a home in the Venice area, but we’re sure glad we met and secured Ruth as our realtor in our home buying journey to Florida. Moving to Venice from out of state (Connecticut) there were so many home options and location choices to consider. Ruth took the time to understand our exact desires and worked hard to find various options for consideration. When we finally decided to build new in a larger gated community, Ruth was there for us throughout the build even taking the time to visit our home during its construction and providing us weekly video updates as we were out of state. No, we didn’t “need” a realtor when we decided to build in a large gated community, but we are so glad we had Ruth Laurent on our team. My husband and I randomly stumbled on a house for sale one Sunday evening. We were very interested and knew we needed to act fast. I recalled a mutual friend had just sold and purchased a home and Ruth was her realtor. I looked up Ruth’s contact info and emailed her. Knowing Ruth for close to eight years and her background of hard work, attention to detail and her professionalism as well as her sense of humor to keep things light made it an easy choice to call her when we decided to sell our home and buy something a bit bigger. She is very knowledgeable, no question is too small, she has the answer or will track it down and get back to you quickly.
We had a couple hiccups during the selling of our home but she never skipped a beat and had a direction and a path in mind and made the final sale a smooth event so we could focus on the home we were buying. In the spring of this year (2019) I was enjoying downtown Venice with 2 friends. I was renting in Bradenton for three months while I searched for a new home after selling our Vero Beach home in 2018. Walking down the street we stopped at the REMAX window to view the posted listings. The door was open and Ruth said "hello, can I help you with anything"? I explained that I am a Broker/Realtor in MA working with Keller Williams and working with a KW agent from Sarasota. She asked what I was looking for and I gave her a quick rundown. As we kept browsing the window listings she pulled up some listings on her computer and told me "there are lots of homes in your price range". I thought NOT. We chatted a bit, she took my email and that night sent me 5 listings that might meet my needs. We looked at them the next day and they were all nice, but I had a desire for new construction. (Believe me I gave her an impossible list of my wants).

After viewing the five homes she had chosen she mentioned Sarasota National and I told her I have passed by this complex for three months and would not go in because it was a golfing community. I don't play golf and didn't want to spend money joining a golf club. Her response "THAT'S THE BEAUTIFUL PART, YOU DONT HAVE TO". She asked if she could just drive us through (sales office was closed) and we said "yes". Well, upon entering the gates I fell in LOVE with the community as did my friend. The complex has 1300 acres of undeveloped preserves and lakes, fine dining, casual tiki bar, coffee shop, resort pool and so much more. She found me a new home on the preserve (my husband loves nature and birds) and a view of the lake in back and a lake across the street with NO HOUSES ever!

We just closed on the 5/30 and are settling in here. We love the home and had I not accidentally come across Ruth I would most likely still be searching. (My previous agent showed me 5 homes in three months of which none met my needs. Either they were way out of the price range, out of the area I wanted or dated with homes in front and behind. THANK YOU RUTH for pushing me (nicely of course) over to Sarasota National. Thanks for listening to our needs and wants.

I plan on moving to the Venice Fla area this Spring and have been looking on line at properties for months. On a recent visit to my sister's home in Venice, realizing I would need to rent a home before my NY property was sold so I would not be "homeless" while I looked for my new home. My sister put a listing on a local on-line site stating that I needed a home to rent...that I had 2 cats...and if anyone knew of any properties nearby.

Ruth reached out to me...she was just great...friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. I informed her immediately that for the purchase of a house I already had been working with a real estate agent...and while other agents might have hung up at that point, knowing that I had an agent, Ruth continued to try to help and guide me.

She immediately sent me listings of great home rentals for me to choose from...all accepting pets. Once I decided on a home rental, Ruth worked with that rental agent so they would allow my 2 cats (since 1 pet was the rule). She made it a breeze!

Ruth was in touch with me from beginning to end --- she made me feel that I was her top priority. She definitely knows her business and is so personable and "normal", I wish I had started with her to begin with, but she understood and appreciated my sense of loyalty to my agent. Her honesty and sense of loyalty really is a great trait...she's a great real estate agent, and also a kind and wonderful person!

I recently retired as a certified Nurse Practitioner from Albuquerque, New Mexico ready to get out of the desert, and be by the water. I have family who live on the Jersey Shore. I LOVE that area, but it's expensive, taxes are outrageous, and I am not sure I could retire there comfortably. My oldest daughter has a Masters Degree in International business, and when I explained to her, I really had a hope to retire in a tropical setting, she got to work, and found Ruth Laurent. My daughter actually started the interaction with Ruth, and when I knew my retirement was actually going to happen, my daughter and I visited Sarasota, over memorial weekend and the first week of June, 2018. Ruth met us, understood this was just a "fishing" expedition for me and, understood, and showed us places I could probably afford. She showed us places in Sarasota, and Venice. I fell in love with everything she showed us. I returned to Albuquerque, and started to wrap things up, so I could move here. She gave me "SAGE" advice about moving here, located a rental for me for a month, and walked me through STEP BY STEP what I needed to make the purchase of my forever home happen. I hadn't purchased any property in 16 years when I showed up here, and she explained how things had drastically changed, and how the mortgage company would want my finances explained to the penny. She was patient when I reached out to her, always helpful, explained things I didn't understand, and gave me great recommendations. Honestly-I want to adopt her as one of my own children. She will NOT steer you into a property you cannot afford, NOR will she try to encourage to purchase a place that is not in the best condition. Her honesty and caring is the best, and I think maybe a rare commodity in todays world. She helped me make my dream home come true. I will be ever grateful to her.
