Ryan Johnston is a native New Yorker and lover of all things real estate, sports, investing, and cryptocurrencies. He is also a proud husband and was recently promoted to the title of Girl Dad!
Ryan studied management at the University of Hartford in Connecticut, but, like many people, had no clue what he wanted to do in life. He would often find himself driving through neighborhoods on weekends, just looking at homes. Little did he know this was going to become a favorite pastime and set Ryan on his eventual career path.
Inching closer to the real estate field, he started working as a leasing consultant with luxury new construction rental buildings, which required Ryan to get licensed. From there, he started managing a portfolio of condo associations, residential rentals, and single-family homes. His managerial side finally gave way to his entrepreneurial nature once Ryan represented himself buying his first home. He knew he had found his true passion. The entire process was so fascinating, and he was hooked.
Growing tired of the winters up north, Ryan began exploring options for making a move down south. Ever since he was a kid, Ryan had always wanted to be on TV, so what better way to make a move than to couple it with filming a TV show? After a few Craigslist casting ads and some Skype auditions, he was cast on FYI Networks 'My City's Just Not That Into Me.' The show was about people looking to 'break up' with their current city and find a new one based on a personality test. The filming brought him to Tampa and Atlanta, and two weeks later, Ryan moved to Atlanta after loving everything it had to offer.
It is his goal when working with clients to make the entire process of buying or selling a home as stress-free as possible while keeping the fun involved. Trust and integrity are of the utmost importance to him, and Ryan is not afraid to tell you to walk away from buying a home or passing on an offer you've received if you think there are better options to be found. With an industry going through technological shifts, he stays ahead of the curve and educates his clients so they can feel confident making some of life's biggest decisions.
Ryan has helped over 150 families buy and sell homes, including lofts, townhouses, land, new construction, investment properties, single-family homes, and multi-family units. He is a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, but no deal is too small for him. Every client he works with can expect the same level of service regardless of price point. Ryan loves what he does and is thankful to continue meeting new people and helping them achieve their goals.
