Ryan was a pleasure to work with. I was a first time home buyer new to Washington DC; due to job training I only had weekends to look at listings and Ryan made time for me around my schedule and was very patient over the course of more than three months of searching. I had heard of first-time home buyers having poor experiences with unfamiliar real estate agents, and felt I had a unique inside look at the real estate profession from a very good friend who have worked in the industry. Ryan shattered my expectations and made home buying almost easy, despite the personal and financial enormity of the event. We looked at almost twenty properties before I found "the one," and I have Ryan to thank for that. A few things that really impressed me about Ryan: 1) He carefully walked me through the process, the state of the condo market in DC, and was very knowledgeable on the issues and questions most common for first-time home buyers. 2) He selected a few properties to look at when I struggled narrow the field. All the properties he showed me met my desires, and one of them I planned to make an offer on wasn't approved for the VA loan so I ultimately went with another option. He quickly understood what I wanted and looked specifically at those factors. 3) He was very efficient and effective in the negotiating process, giving me time to make a final decision while indicating my interest to the listing agent. I felt the final offer was very fair and he facilitated all pre-settlement actions seamlessly. 4) Ryan was having difficulty contacting my tentative lender during the negotiation process. The lender wouldn't provide him an amended copy of the pre-qualification to indicate the offer amount. Ryan was able to refer me to a local lender that pre-qualified within hours and even offered a better rate! This prevented me from missing out on the condo or receiving a counteroffer reflecting the higher amount of the pre-qualification. 5) Throughout the home buying process Ryan easily related to my specific life circumstances; he ultimately seemed more like an acquaintance than someone with which I had entered a purely professional relationship. I really trusted him and could not have been happier with his work. 6) It was clear that Ryan was very knowledgeable on the regional eccentricities of the housing market throughout VA/DC/MD. He was always up to date on his info and seemed consistently further his mastery of the profession. 7) I consistently felt like Ryan was going out of his way for me, putting in the extra effort to help my find my perfect home. I actually don't ever do a review. However, after working with Ryan I can honestly say that he is the most professional and detail oriented individual I have ever met or worked with in this industry. Ryan walked us from day one with a quick introduction of the entire "buying a home" process to the closing day which after signing the contract I got home and Ryan already had delivered a congratulation gift at our new home. The entire process with Ryan was very easy. I am the kind of individual that will do all the research myself and lay out the exact criteria so we can be effective. Ryan is the right real estate for us because he has the patience and the availability that I think is crucial when buying a home. He will be there when we need him, with less than 1-2 hours notice Ryan will accommodate his schedule and be available to assist us. Any questions and concerns if he didn't know the exact answer he is the kind of individual that will do the research and call the right person to get the answer. He is definitely not afraid to meet and talk to anyone he needs to to help you in the entire process. Once we found the right house for us, Ryan has great relationship with everyone in the business he gives options and you are the one who makes any decisions. He will not pressure you, he will only speak out of experience which is exactly what we needed. Ryan helped us fight a lower interest rate and helped us shop around for the right lender. After picking the bank we picked a company that he recommended for closing and drafting the sales agreement and the closing process was great. As you know it is a lot of paperwork however Ryan was there to facilitate and help in anything he can. I usually don't recommend anyone. However, it will be a mistake not to share how good of a real estate Ryan Verey is. Meet with him and let him do the work because that is exactly what he does, he works hard to get you the house that you choose.

This was our first time purchasing a home.

We met Ryan at another home he was showing. Like most open houses, we signed in, made a bit of small talk, took his card, and moved along. Ryan followed up a day later to ask how the meeting with our lender had gone (I had told him at the open house that we were meeting the lender the next day). It's a small thing, but demonstrates Ryan's attention to detail.

Ryan continued to check in on us and see how things were going even before we selected him as our agent. He was persistent, but certainly not in a negative way. We figured that these were good qualities (invested, accessible) for our agent to have, and so we asked Ryan to come and give us his pitch. He made time to come by and speak with us after work one night (we have a little one) and walked us through the home buying process in a completely pressure-free presentation. He left paperwork behind for us to review at our leisure; there was no pressure or preconceived notion that we would be signing with him.

Once we did sign with him Ryan continued to be extremely proactive and responsive. He would text, call, and email, constantly providing us with new information. This barrage of information might overwhelm some but, honestly, I'd much prefer this to someone that would only reach out occasionally. Ryan notified us about the home we would wind up purchasing in advance of it hitting the market, came to look at it the first day we could, and worked hard with us to communicate with the sellers and quickly get us under contract.

Ryan had suggestions for every other party we might need, but never thrust them upon us; they were there if we needed them or wanted them, and that was it. I can't rate his negotiation skills (since I didn't observe them), and we're just now moving in, but at this point I can't recommend Ryan highly enough. He was great for us as first time buyers.

Although me and my wife's selling situation was very stressful & uniquely challenging, Ryan Verey and the good people at OPS made it a seamless, hassle free experience. The team were very knowledgeable and executed a perfect strategy to ensure the sale of our property above the price we wanted. Despite there being some issues with neighbors, HOA's and problems with the gas (a weekly occurrence) we got the price we wanted. The OPS also introduced us to their team of contractors to ensure the property was ready to sell such as cleaners, painters & gas heads to ensure the gas was on good form and the property was sale ready.

Would absolutely use these guys again, they got the job done quicker than I expected with more money in my pocket.

As first time homebuyers my husband and I were excited to start looking. So when the time came it was no doubt that Ryan Verey would be our realtor of choice. Ryan was concise, dedicated and treated us like family when it came to our home search. The time and attention to detail did not go unnoticed, especially when I admittedly was hesitant about such an impactful decision. There was a bit of a time crunch with our current apartment's lease renewal looming but he took it in stride and was sure to ask us very thoughtful questions that made eliminating and narrowing down possible future homes a breeze.

Once we found our future home it was an amazing feeling thinking about the place our 8 month old daughter will get to grow up in. Putting the pen to paper was easy when you know your realtor is looking out for you and excited for you to start this new chapter of your life.
