Safiya Shabazz

Safiya Shabazz-Evans is a native of Philadelphia with 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. She received a B.A. in Mass Communication from George College & State University and an M.Ed in Early Childhood Education from Saint Joseph’s University. After college, she worked at the University of Pennsylvania as a Practice Manager for the Cancer Center. There she learned valuable leadership and interpersonal skills. Later she opened a childcare learning facility, YaYa Daycare Center, LLC in West Oak Lane in 2011 to provide a high-quality learning experience for children ages infants through 5 years old. She brings the same teaching expertise to her real estate clients, to help educate them on selling/buying real estate. She wants her clients to be informed which allows them to make the best decision for themselves and their families.

Safiya lives in the Mount Airy section of the city with her husband, Kwesi, and daughter Sanaa, who is currently in college at George Mason University.
