When I think of home, I think of my happy place and it fills me with warmth and memories of family and friends. Home is different for everyone, but the overwhelming need for a happy, secure home-base is important to many people, especially in this fast-paced world.
Growing up in the Midwest, I experienced a very loving home, and it has been my benchmark for how I see the world. My parents felt that experiences were more important than “things”, and by the time I graduated from High School, I had traveled out of the country and across the globe 4 times as well as around the US and Canada. I got to ride a camel in the deserts of Egypt, visit East Berlin and the former Soviet Union, and paddle canoes around Northern Wisconsin, Minnesota and Canada. It helped me learn about diversity and respect, and that has made all the difference for my life and career.
In college, I studied Geography, Education, Art and German and then taught at a non-traditional Outdoor Education Center for 6 years before going into Corporate America. I often asked myself, what is a Geography major doing relocating corporate executives around the US, Canada, Europe and Asia? While spending 15+ years in corporate relocation, relocating over 40,000 employees and their families as a consultant and manager, and assisting corporations with their talent acquisition mobility needs, I can say with certainty that I learned a lot about servicing and anticipating my customer’s needs. Plus, I could always find where they were coming from and going to on a map! Some of my corporate clients included Pfizer, American Express, PetsMart, Bridgestone Firestone, Ameriprise Financial and UTC.
Personally moving 8 times, a few being across the US, I have also put myself into the shoes of those I want to serve. Moving can be an incredibly stressful time and I would like to share my dedication, customer service and advocacy with you. I have lived in Arizona for the past 20 years, and I share a home with my husband John, and our 2 pets, Wilson and Monroe.
