Just wanted to post an unsolicited review of our realtor Scott Hodge of Big Block Realty. Scott was the BEST realtor we ever worked with! We've worked with several realtors over the past 6 years and Scott is the 1st one that I would recommend. Excellent communicator - Answered calls, texts, and emails QUICKLY with clear and concise dialogue. Professional - 20 year Navy Veteran with great work ethic, never pushy, and looked out for our best interests. Cost effective! The #1 reason I decided to work with Scott was because his commission was lower than the average realtor. When you sell a 600K home, 6% is a good chunk of your proceeds! But Scott offered a lower, competitive percentage, that allowed us to maximize our profits! Even though our initial reason to go with Scott was because of his commission rate, after everything is said and done, we would have paid him 6% for his efforts. He is that good! Scott is the best realtor in San Diego. Finding your perfect home was never an easy process and would be stressful sometimes. Especially if you was a picky person like myself who was looking for a very particular house. Scott was excellent real estate agent to work with from Day 1 until several weeks later when we bought our condo. He was very detail oriented, always providing specific information on new homes that fell within our price range and personal requirements. I definitely recommend Scott to anyone! I am a workaholic, therefore I didn't have much time to go shopping for home. In addition to that I am very superstitious so finding a home within the budget was extremely difficult. Scott was very patience and willing to meet us at anytime. Regardless if it was day or evening, as long as the time is convenient for his client. It took me a few months to finally found a home I love. However, the agent on the seller's side put us through hell with his unprofessional work ethic, he was extremely hard to deal with, greedy, rude and was very unresponsive . As a result, I was in escrow for 60 days yet was still unsure if the transaction will goes through. I was feeling hopeless, and wanted to give up in purchasing a home for a few years due interest rate arised after the election. Scott did a wonderful job in keeping all legal documents organized, and always made sure I was on the right side of the contract. Scott made sure every penny I spent was to the right place. And always protected my deposit. He'd find his way to always keep me informed, and get my permission thorough out the transaction in every step he made. Scott always made sure he does everything in what you want and for your best interest. Things seemed almost impossible for me to purchase my first home. But Scott wasn't giving up in helping me. He went out of his way get everyone possible to help out. He even made his way to the CEO of Big Block reality to seek for help. It took a few months till I finally able to move into my first home. But if it wasn't for Scott who went out of his way and fought hard to make things happen, I wouldn't be able to get the home within my budget that I actually love. For those of you who always have that fear of Real estate agents are always out there to get your money. You definitely need to contact Scott to help you, because he is definitely the guy who places his clients before his income. Nhi Vu
