Scott Johnson

Mr. Scott Johnson joined United Real Estate as their Chief Financial Officer in January 2017 based out of their new Dallas headquarters. In this role, Mr. Johnson oversees the accounting and finance teams based in Kansas City. In addition, he is responsible for banking and shareholder relationships, providing actionable financial optics / insights to business unit leadership, delivering high-quality financial information and operating transparency to the Board along with leading the annual operating and strategic planning cycles for the enterprise.



Prior to joining United, Mr. Johnson spent the most recent 5 years leading the analytics and planning teams at Interstate Batteries in Dallas ($2B aftermarket distributor of automotive batteries) and prior to that spent 11 years with PepsiCo ($62B multinational food and beverage company) in various division financial leadership roles (e.g., pricing strategy, field finance, customer risk, foodservice, etc). Prior to this, Mr. Johnson spent 6 years in the audit groups of Coopers & Lybrand and Ernst & Young with a focus on banking, financial services and real estate.


Mr. Johnson and his three children live in Frisco Tx (suburb north of Dallas). Mr. Johnson earned a B.B.A. from the University of Texas and his M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University. Mr. Johnson is a licensed CPA in Texas.
