Scott Lindsley has 29 years’ experience in Charlotte real estate. He is a native Charlottean, one of the few! He has lived all over Charlotte, growing up in the Central Avenue area: in Merry Oaks and Plaza-Midwood, then off to Matthews and Mint Hill from Junior High on.
After returning from college at App State he lived in the Myers Park area. From there he moved to Dilworth, to a condominium in Uptown, to a couple different bungalows in South end / Wilmore, and currently live in the NoDa arts district just a couple of miles outside Uptown Charlotte. He loves the center city neighborhoods - the energy, diversity, nightlife, dining, and walkability that can be found in these urban environments.
Having lived in many parts of the city, and in all types of housing, He has a broad range of personal experience to help guide buyers to the right neighborhood and right type of home. He considers the "where" of the search as important, if not more so, than the home itself.
He began his career as an appraiser and over 12 years built a 10-person operation that served fourteen counties. He appraised over 15,000 properties and worked for over three dozen banks. During this time, in 2004, he was inducted as one of Charlotte's Top 40 Under 40 by the Business Journal.
He left the appraisal field and founded Urban Realty in 1999. After a few years, He began working for developers marketing and selling new condo projects in central and uptown Charlotte. In 2009, He sold his interest in Urban Realty and moved to join the Developer Services team and My Townhome Realty.
He also began concentrating on assisting buyers purchase foreclosed and bank-owned properties - many of the investors he worked for began seeking these properties and leaning on his appraisal experience and personal investing experience to seek out the best deals on the market.
In 2012, He left his Townhome Realty and started Janus Real Estate. He works with all types of buyers and sellers for properties in central Charlotte.
