I am a resident of Cornelius for 6 years and grew up most of my life in Prairie Village, KS until 16 years old. Living in Cornelius reminds me of the friendly people and quality of life I had growing up in Kansas. Every day, I dedicate to bring that same feeling of being a good neighbor and bring that to my clients moving to the area. I am serving the Cornelius, Lake Norman, and the Greater Charlotte area as a Real Estate Broker, advisor since 2017.
Presently, me and Wendy Atherton are the Principals in the Winston Dane -eXp Realty Team in the Mooresville, Lake Norman office. My experience in helping homeowners sell their houses, new homeowners buy their new homes, and Real Estate investors to invest in local development in Residential Houses and Multifamily as 2nd homes or Rentals, gave me a unique network and perspective that provides high caliber services to my community and clients. I am always looking to serve the community where I can. I was honored to serve and represent the Town of Cornelius for the 2020 Census. In 2021, I was appointed as an alternate for the Town of Cornelius Planning Board. I also sit on the Housing Committee for the Town of Cornelius that was established in 2020 and still assisting in the plan created for the needs of affordable and workforce housing.
In addition to serving the Town of Cornelius, I am a Board Member of Little Smiles of NC, a charity benefiting North Carolina children who are in hospitals, hospices, and shelters across the state, is a member of Norman Chamber of Commerce, and member of LKNHR (Lake Norman Human Resources). I am also an active member of the Rotary Club of North Mecklenburg and the upcoming President following the two terms I served as a Membership Chair.
Since starting as a Real Estate Advisor, Broker in 2017, I went from going as a solo agent to a team of 4 agents, the Operations Director, Marketing Manager, and a team of closing coordinators. In 2020 The Team Winston Dane then won the prestigious awards of Keller Williams; Number 2 Team Listing Agent of the Year, and the Number 2 Top Team Award GCI 2020. Meanwhile, in 2019, 2020-2021, I was honored to receive the Robert T. Cashion Community Service Award, in recognition of Exceptional Leadership and Devoted Service to the Ideals of Rotary and the President’s Award for my services to my fellow Rotarians and the community.
I am happily married to Wendy Atherton. We have an energic Labrador named Sailor.
