The relationship you have with someone representing you in such a big transaction needs to be one of integrity, respect and TRUST. Without those, no matter how much you may like someone you're dealing with, it'll never be a "win-win" for you or any other party involved.

As a native to San Antonio, I grew up on the SE side of town in an area that was predominately families that had farming and ranching roots and backgrounds. Incidentally, my family is no different and I've dug my share of post holes and thrown thousands of pounds of hay.

What's most interesting, however, is that my youth really shaped me for my success as an adult. I put myself through college and double majored in Business & Agribusiness. I've been in business development for 2 decades now and have learned a lot as well as accomplished a lot. Most importantly, I've been humbled a lot.

As the saying goes, "If you ever want to make God laugh, tell Him what YOUR plans are." That's the truth! After being laid off as the VP of Bus Dev for a developer & construction company in the oil & gas industry, I arrived here.
