Shane grew up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma where he excelled in both academics and athletics. He attended college at Oklahoma State University and graduated in 2005 with a bachelor’s in business administration.
After college he went to work for Bechtel, the #1 global engineering and construction firm. Over the next 13 years he held various roles in both procurement and subcontracts while steadily ascending the corporate ladder to his most recent position as project subcontracts manager where his department was responsible for an annual budget/spend of more than $200M. While working for Bechtel, Shane lived and worked in Oklahoma, Colorado, India, Washington, Australia, Kentucky & New Mexico. He had the privilege of working with and on behalf of some of the industry giants in the sectors of defense, nuclear waste remediation, and oil, gas & chemicals.
During this time, he used every dollar he could save to acquire a portfolio of rental properties and land in Oklahoma and Colorado. In doing so he realized his passion was identifying value in real estate and negotiating to maximize that value at closing, which is perfectly complemented by the fact that he is a cost/price analyst, a proven negotiator, and a contracts expert by trade. In 2017, he obtained his Colorado Broker’s Associate License and the following year he resigned from corporate life to make the move to Pagosa Springs, an area which he considers the most underrated market in Colorado, to be a full-time real estate professional.

In Shane’s personal time, he can usually be found playing in the mountains with his partner Julie and son Wiley. Shane is a powder skiing enthusiast who has skied throughout the west and in more than a dozen countries. He is also a fisherman, a hunter, and a dog guy.
