I can’t say enough about how amazing Shannon Shaffer has been helping us purchase the perfect home in Santa Cruz from out of State.

Shannon accommodated us and our timing when we had to take a whirlwind house hunting trip over just a couple of days, worked closely with our realtor in another state to coordinate the sale of our old house with the purchase here, methodically worked through the agreement with the seller and continued working closely with everyone involved to be sure our purchase went smoothly. Since we came from out of State Shannon’s deep local knowledge of neighborhoods and available housing was incredibly helpful. Now that we are in our home and we and our kids have had some time to explore we realize how this home and location that Shannon helped us pick is really ideal for us.

On top of that Shannon’s personality helped us feel welcome and supported, and it really eased our transition into a new community.

I don’t post reviews often, and rarely have I given glowing comments with no negatives, but I can truly think of no things I can criticize through our whole transaction and after.

I would absolutely recommend Shannon Shaffer for anyone looking for a home in Santa Cruz, you won’t be disappointed.

We were so impressed with Shannon and her professionalism. We needed to find something very quickly and she delivered. Within a few hours of contacting her she had listings for us to review. As out of state buyers we needed someone who we could trust and get us all the information we needed as quickly as possible. Our house had been on the market for eight weeks with someone else representing us and we didn’t feel like things were progressing as expected. We contacted Shannon and she ended up changing the entire situation, and our lives, for the best! Through the entire process of selling a home and then waiting 6 months and buying another home, I never had a question of what was happening next what do I need to do?

Every little detail was explained, dates and timelines were met when they we're supposed to be and each transaction felt seamless.

Never felt like I didnt have a choice and all of my ideas were heard, discussed.

Shannon represented us for the sale of our townhouse and subsequent purchase of a single family residence. We couldn't have been happier with the service and expertise she provided on what was both a challenging sale and an "against the odds" purchase. The townhouse sale required navigating a layer of State regulations related to Home Owner Association transactions and the purchase was a short sale with a first, second, tenants, landlords and VA financing. We were operating on a tight timeline to coordinate the sale, purchase, and move but Shannon was on top of everything throughout each phase. It was clear she had a good relationship with other agents in the area and I am sure this helped matters during negotiations. That townhouse sold, in this downturn, in just a couple of weeks! We also had great results from the network of professionals she had experience working with on previous transactions (inspectors, tenting, repairs, etc).

Selling, buying and moving is a stressful endeavor under the best of conditions but Shannon's expertise kept our drama to a minimum! When all was said and done, we ended up with more house than I thought we'd be able to afford and we did it within our budget. This was a series of complicated transactions and I can't imagine them having ended with a better outcome.
