My journey to the beautiful Suncoast is a long and winding road. Over the first few decades of my life I lived in many ‘garden spots’ including Columbus, Santa Fe, Santa Barbara, Scottsdale, Springfield IL, and Colorado Springs. But there is no place I would rather be today than on Florida’s beautiful Suncoast!
After 35 years in the newspaper business (designing marketing campaigns, managing a staff and budgets, working with the public and all that goes with it) I hung up my eye shade in 2012 when I heard the beach calling and didn’t see any reason not to answer!
Over the years (and many moves) I’ve bought and sold nearly a dozen properties of my own - so working in real estate was a no brainer for me. And making that move in beautiful Sarasota (where my office sits on a barrier island among visitors from all around the world) was a Eureka moment. I had no idea how much fun it would be to do start this 2nd act of my working life - and now I can’t wait to get to work each day. Since starting this new career I've won 2 awards with Coldwell Banker for my work - but honestly the smile on a buyer's face as we walk away from the closing table is more satisfying than any award.
