About Shawn

Hi, I’m Shawn Watson, co-founder of The Watson & Switzer Group at RE/MAX Northwest. I proudly serve clients across the dynamic Portland–Vancouver metro area and throughout the Willamette Valley—from Salem to Eugene.

With two decades of experience and over 1,000 clients served, I bring a strong foundation in real estate, marketing, and negotiation to every transaction. I hold a master’s degree in Real Estate & Construction Management and a bachelor’s in Business.

Before real estate, I served in the U.S. Coast Guard and worked as a K9 officer with the New Mexico State Police. I’ve also served as a city councilor and planning commissioner—roles that deepened my commitment to community and smart growth.

My business is built on referrals, and I’m proud to say that more than 90% of my clients come from trusted relationships and personal recommendations. My focus is simple: deliver great results, earn trust, and make the process as smooth and rewarding as possible.

I work closely with my partner, Daniel Switzer, who brings his creative energy and marketing expertise to every aspect of our business. With a background on Broadway and a master’s degree in Communication: Social Media & Advertising, Daniel brings a vibrant, client-focused perspective to how we present and showcase each property—ensuring they stand out and leave an impactful impression on prospective buyers.

With offices in both Portland and Eugene, we’re grateful for the opportunity to live and work throughout this diverse and welcoming region of the Pacific Northwest. We seamlessly share our time between the two places we call home—Portland and our family’s second home in Lowell, Oregon, overlooking beautiful Dexter Lake, just outside of Eugene.
