Sheldon Ashby began investing in real estate as early as 18 years old with his first flip of a multi unit property in Downeast Maine. Around the same time he started a painting and roofing business that flourished. He relocated to Portland after college and continued building his business, and investing in real estate.

After getting his Realtor’s license, he let his painting and roofing business dissolve to transition into real estate full time. Sheldon worked under several large agencies gaining knowledge, experience before getting his Designated Broker’s license, and founding Ashby Real Estate.

Ashby specializes in fixing bad credit, buying distressed properties and flipping them, buying at auctions, and he has joined the ranks of owning a historic piece of Portland as the owner of the Masonic Temple Building which rents commercial space to some high profile tenants.

As a lifetime entrepreneur, Sheldon has a strong work ethic and the ability to overcome any obstacle in his way. He has a fierce determination to do anything he puts his mind to.
