Sherri Chapman is a true "dreamcatcher!"

Our situation was unique in that we couldn't make up our minds about purchasing a house in 2023 or waiting and hoping for better rates in 2024. Our landlord inadvertently helped us make that decision by essentially giving us an ultimatum of higher rent for the early renewal of our lease or much higher rent if we waited the lease out and renewed at the end.

With that daunting perspective, we decided to get preapproved with a lender and see what was out there...truly believing that in our 3 week timeline before early renewal of our lease was due, we'd never find our dream home and just end up settling or not buying this year at all.

We chose Sherri as our realtor, in all honesty, because I had been her daughter's 4th grade teacher and since then, she had become a friend of mine. As any good realtor will do, when she found out we might be looking to purchase, she simply asked for the sale! She asked us to give her a shot when it came time to purchase a home. I was impressed with her "gumption" and belief in herself but I was also hesitant because I was under the impression that your realtor had to be "all knowing" to get the best listings and answers for their clients and I assumed that with her limited experience (She had about a year under her belt as a realtor at the time of our house hunt.) that she wouldn't be able to pull it off.

Wow, were we so pleasantly surprised with her "performance", for lack of a better term! Sherri was absolutely phenomenal from start to close! She was incredibly diligent in her hunt for our perfect home, working day and late night hours to give us options that fit our parameters while at the same time, not overwhelming us with listings that would essentially waste our time just to have presented us with "something to look at". As the youth of today would say, " SHE UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT!"

She was highly receptive to our comments, both good and bad, concerning the listings she found - never taking offense, just professionally adding our preferences as we narrowed them down to her "mental folder" to better accommodate our needs.

After numerous showings in a whirlwind of days, she magically found THE house for us and wasted no time getting us in immediately to view it. The market here in Ohio is on fire and good homes don't typically last more than a few days so we were terribly thankful for her sense of urgency throughout the entire process! --- We got that house in our seriously confined time frame and we couldn't be more thrilled!

If you're in need of a realtor who truly has your needs as her priority, give Sherri a chance! I can't imagine going through what we did with any other realtor. Sherri is so good at making clients feel comfortable and empowered in their hunt! She picks up your call whatever time of day; she maintains constant communication (without being annoying); she offers help with every situation involved in the home buying process.

Something else we truly valued about Sherri is that she "stayed in her lane" so to speak. She didn't pretend to be all-knowing and quickly found answers to questions we asked that she couldn't. She's got a kindness and a "spunk" about her that can do no other than to leave her clients highly satisfied!
