Shirah really saved the day for us! We were in a bit of a panic because our lease was suddenly terminated when our landlord needed the house back for a family member. While we are planning to buy in the near future, we weren’t sure if we were ready to make such an import decision in 6 weeks, and she helped us navigate all our options. When we determined buying was too much pressure right now, she showed us several rental homes that just weren't the right fit for us and she never lost patience when I sent her more and more listings to go see. Luckily, she found us a home to rent off market during this very competitive rental and buyer market and brokered a deal between both parties. When we do decide to buy, we will definitely use Shirah!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience working with Shirah Cohen to find our new home! Shirah showed a genuine interest in understanding us and what we were looking for so she could best support us in our search. She was exceptionally responsive and communicative throughout the entire process. Her knowledge of the northern Virginia market and the process was extremely helpful and reassuring as we were going through the negotiation. Shirah at Long and Foster is one of the best realtors I’ve worked with in our various searches for properties over the past few years. She is very easy going, has a great sense of humor, adapts well to changing requirements of buyers, and ensures her client’s best interest are fulfilled during the offer and post inspection stages. It was our first time buying a home and it seemed daunting, however, Shirah made the process easy to navigate. Timing and organization was critical to our successful purchase, which we would not have been able to do without Shira’s excellent organization and ease of communication. She was on top of every aspect of the purchase and made sure we knew what to expect, that everything was done correctly, and that it was all on time. Shirah was always available for our questions and was patient as she walked us through every step of the process.

Additionally, Shirah has a great network of people for all the other aspects of the purchase. She had a recommendation for everyone, including an excellent mortgage broker, someone at Long and Foster to help us find great rates on home owners insurance, and an excellent home inspector. When we expressed interest in doing renovations on our new townhome, Shirah went above and beyond our expectations by referring us to 2 contractors, even setting up and arranging meetings with both.

Working with Shirah has been a wonderful experience. She does everything she can to get the sale done and she will find you the perfect home.

The home-buying experience with Shirah was fantastic. This house was my first home purchase, and Shirah could not have better. She helped me understand the entire process and what I would need to provide at every step. Also, she connected me with the resources required for me to ask the, many, questions I had. Her ability to read my reactions when we saw a prospective house was essential. A few of the homes we saw were not for me. When we walked into the house that I purchased, we both knew that this house was the one for me. The pictures I had seen online of the house were great, but did not communicate the feeling I would have walking into the house that would become my future house. Thank you Shirah for a great experience!!

Shirah was an absolute pleasure to work with. We put our house on the market while living with family out of state and I was so glad I could trust her to handle staging, showings, etc. in my absence. She was extremely responsive to calls/texts and always stayed on top of everything that needed to get done. Her whole "team" of family members pitched in with minor repairs around the house, yard cleanup, even junk removal! Her attention to detail seriously paid off and the house went for over asking with multiple offers. Shirah really went above and beyond to make the process of selling our house go smoothly and we are so thankful for her help!
