Shirley Walker

Shirley Walker is an award-winning broker with more than 16 years of experience in residential real estate. While she works with buyers and sellers in the Hyde Park and Kenwood neighborhoods of which she is a 30-year resident, she is well-versed at selling and leasing in the South Loop, South Shore, Jackson Highlands and throughout Chicago. With a background in Hospital Administration, she also deftly sells and leases medical office space.

Shirley was born in Jamaica and moved to London, England as a teenager. A chance to study in Seattle, Washington brought her to the United States where she earned a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and then an MHA in Hospital Administration from the University of Washington in Seattle. She then moved to Chicago where she worked as a hospital administrator. She dabbled in real estate as an investor restoring investment properties in the city and fell in love with real estate. She found a way to stay connected to her roots in hospital administration and follow her passion for real estate in general.

Shirley prides herself on her attentiveness, follow-through and excellent customer service and feels they are the secrets to her success. In her free time, Shirley enjoys walking, dancing, swimming, going to the health club, reading and travel. She goes to Jamaica, where her mom still has a home. every chance she gets!
