Around 100 years ago, I was born in in Old Brooklyn and moved to Cleveland Heights when I was 5, attending St. Ann’s school through 8th grade. I then attended Beaumont School (and a brief stint at Heights High my junior year). After I graduated from John Carroll University with a degree in English, I moved to Detroit for 18 months, followed by Philadelphia where I lived for 8 years. During my time in Philadelphia I worked for a boutique marketing firm that focused on the commercial real estate industry - and I loved it.
Fast forward to 2001 when our first child was born, and the desire to move back to Cleveland was now a mission. In 2003 we moved home, and in early 2004 - at the same time I obtained my real estate license - we bought our home on Scarborough (or Scareborough, as it’s known in October) and have been here ever since.
I love living in Cleveland. It’s manageable, has a fantastic arts community, and has been a great place to raise a family. It’s not perfect, but it works for us and I’m grateful for the experience we’ve had here.
Lastly, I fell into residential real estate accidentally and though I often find the industry and market conditions maddening and sometimes baffling, I do love it and genuinely enjoy my job. Buyers, sellers, probate sales, investors, first timers - you name it. Every day is a different adventure, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
