Sissy Ambrose Cobden

Born and raised in Charleston, Sissy is a lifelong resident of the Lowcountry. She studied Business at the College of Charleston. Sissy owned and operated Charleston's Best Home Services for thirteen years and has owned Halycon Home Services, an absentee owner management business serving Kiawah and Seabrook Islands, for seven years. She earned her real estate license in 2015 and joined the Akers Ellis team in 2016. In addition to her business experience, Sissy has been an active member of the community. She is a founding member of The Point Is, a women’s non-profit organization dedicated to supporting local groups in the Lowcountry and focuses on the needs of less fortunate women and children, those suffering with ill health, and those striving to repair their family structure. She was also DC of the Charleston Pony Club for two years. Sissy has two teenaged children and resides on Johns Island. She enjoys boating in the Lowcountry rivers, relaxing at the beach, and spending time at the family farm. With her daughter being an avid equestrian, Sissy she also spends many hours at the barn and volunteering at horse shows.
