Long before Sonia Forchetti launched a successful real estate career, she was absorbing the language of homes from her father, who was a carpenter, and her mother, who was a real estate agent. While she understood more about construction and sales than most of her young peers, Sonia sought an alternate career course.

After growing up in Yonkers, Sonia attended Mercy College in nearby Dobbs Ferry and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies. Equipped with a solid foundation in law and real property law, reinforced by her natural diligence and attention to detail, Sonia went to work as a paralegal. She became a senior paralegal quickly and spent more than two decades working for some of the top Westchester County law firms. Sonia assisted clients in an array of situations, including foreclosure defense, loan modification and in the complexities of estate management and probate.

Despite her success in law, the pull of her earliest influences was profound. After moving to Pleasantville with her family, Sonia decided to redirect her legal expertise and tenacious personality into a real estate career.
