About Stephen

Stephen McGovern is a highly experienced Jack Conway Canton Realtor. He joined the company’s Westwood office in 1988 and later transferred to the Canton team, where he consistently receives awards as tops in sales, both monthly and annually. Before entering the ranks of Conway Country, Stephen had specialized in marketing condominiums in the Greater Boston area.

Stephen and his wife Michele live in Mansfield with their two children, Christopher and Nicole, who are both college students currently. Stephen was born and raised in Norwood, Massachusetts and earned a degree in computer science at Polk College in Winter Haven, Florida. He relocated to Florida in 1970, moved back to Massachusetts in 1978, and lived in Quincy for 20 years before settling in Mansfield in 1999. He knows quite a bit about the challenges involved with making a move as an individual or a family.

As a Conway Realtor, Stephen has earned a number of advanced real estate credentials, including the Military on the Move certification, which helps veterans or active members of the U.S. Armed Services during the purchase or sale of a home. He is also a certified Conway Senior Specialist trained to meet the unique needs of home buyers or sellers aged 55 and over. Stephen is a certified Conway Relocation Specialist, a Certified Buyer’s Specialist, a recipient of the Conway Degree of Excellence and a member of Jack Conway's President’s Circle of Success.

As a real estate agent and advocate for his clients, Stephen provides professional service with a personal touch. He is proud to say that much of his business comes from repeat customers or referrals. He is a highly organized individual with a great deal of knowledge of the Greater Boston marketplace.
Stephen is creative in entering his listings into MLS and takes excellent photographs of each property – inside and out.

He returns client calls promptly and is well-prepared to answer any questions they may have. He is always available and will travel to any area of the state, if necessary. Stephen listens to his buyers and sellers and goes the extra mile to help them achieve their housing goals. He has replaced light fixtures, faucets, sealed driveways, weeded yards and cleaned out houses for clients who could not do those things themselves.

He has helped his buyers with financing and insurance, and shows them homes on holidays in snowstorms, late at night, or early in the morning. It makes him feel good when someone finds a house that they are happy with, and Stephen will do whatever it takes to make that happen. Helping his sellers to move on to the next phase of their lives by completing the sales of their homes is also very rewarding for him.
