About Steve
Steve Arden grew up on the high plains of the Texas Panhandle in the city of Amarillo. He then moved from Amarillo to Houston to pursue a formal education in the field of marketing, majoring in Broadcasting at the University of Houston. Steve enjoyed ten years in broadcast advertising, sales, and management with Bass Broadcasting.
Mr. Arden recognized and appreciated the opportunity for exceptional real estate growth potential in the Brazos Valley and moved to Bryan/ College Station, Texas in 1970. He utilized his extensive knowledge of television, marketing, and self promotion to quickly become an industry leader in the field of real estate after receiving his Texas real estate license in 1971.
From there, Mr. Arden became one of the founding partners and Principle Broker of Brazosland Realty. Over the years, Steve has been very active in local politics, real estate development, homebuilding, and willingly volunteered his time and efforts with the Bryan College Station Regional Association of Realtors.
In 2009, Brazosland Realty was the winner of the 2009 Better Business Bureau Torch Award for market place ethics, a very prestigious award given only to companies that have demonstrated a high level of integrity and ethical principles over time. During March of 2010, Mr. Arden had an instrumental role in recognizing significant changes in the market place and another great opportunity. This vision led to a merger with another fine local real estate company, Classic Realty, to create a new entity, BCR Brazosland Classic Realty into the present 40+ agent company, now the largest independent brokerage in Brazos County.
Steve’s business specialties have included both the brokerage of and development of urban land within Bryan/College Station, into residential and commercial uses. Development participation has included ten different urban or rural subdivisions through the years.
