Born and raised in Louisville, he attended Western Kentucky University, where he learned leadership skills and the application of uncompromising ethics, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
In addition to selling more than 4,000 properties, he has developed several of the area's finest residential communities, such as Beech Spring Farm, Bentwood Place, Falls Creek, Harrods Glen, Innisbrook, Autumn Ridge, Landis Lakes, Poplar Woods, Shakes Run, Spring Farm Glen, Spring Farm Place, Spring Farm Point, Wolf Pen Springs, Wolf Pen Woods, and Hunting Green. His newest Development, Rose Island Glen will begin in late 2022.
Steve founded Canfield Realty Group in 2013, after 35 years in the real estate business. He is a member of the Louisville Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Louisville Orchestra and the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame.
He is married to homebuilder Penny Love. They have five grown children and 8 grandchildren between them. They live in Prospect, Kentucky.
