About Steve
Steve Cox is a Springfield, MO native and attended Pershing Elementary and Jr. High, Glendale High School (Class of ’83) and graduated from Drury University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Minors in Economics and Accounting.
Steve is a competitive person and athlete and has participated throughout his life in various sports including football, baseball, track and field, tennis, cycling and was a scholarship basketball player at Drury University, participating in two NAIA National Championship tournaments.
After college, Steve began his professional career in southern California in advertising sales, then back in Springfield in advertising and promotions account management with Noble and Associates.
Steve’s work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit led him in 1991 into his own automotive paint and body business which steadily expanded locations and services offered throughout the next 27 years until he sold the business in February of 2018. During that time, Steve also began buying, building, renovating and managing residential and commercial real estate, which he still does today. He also built and owns Cox Climate Controlled Storage and Uhaul in Springfield, MO.
His experience working with his own real estate, combined with his network of past customers, friends and acquaintances acquired over the years in the greater Springfield area led him to acquiring his real estate license in 2018 and partnering with Keller Williams of Greater Springfield.
