Steve Goldfarb

Steve has lived in Southern Vermont for over 39 years and resides with his wife Shelley, Black Lab Solar, and cats Maxwell and Ralphy. Their Daughters Sydney and Jayna have recently fled the coop along with the Grandpets, Jupiter, the dog, Naomi, the cat, and Jojo, the bunny…. Their Home Base is their home 8 miles north of Mount Snow and 5 miles south of Stratton Mountain in the town of Stratton. Steve and his family are avid sports enthusiasts in water skiing, wake surfing, SUP, mountain biking, road biking, running, hiking, back-country skiing, cross-country skiing, and downhill skiing. Steve has taught skiing as a PSIA Professional Ski Instructor for 39 years. Steve is often overheard saying, "I came here for the winters but stayed because of the summers—especially the lake activities. The warm days and cool nights of the summers are absolutely beautiful.

Steve loves to educate in all realms of life, he ran The Mountain Bike School at Mount Snow for many years, occasionally still teaches snow skiing, water skiing Mountain Biking and other sports. Steve is also a facilitator of team-building and initiative games.

Over the past few years as the President of the Board for the Old School Enrichment Center (OSEC) he and the team have been hard at work. They have set up a 501(c)(3), taken ownership of the old Twin Valley High School Building in the middle of Wilmington, and are renovating and repurposing it as a Community Center for all of the Deerfield Valley. The building is now over half filled with start up businesses, Supervisory Union offices, a child care group, bakery, fitness center and is used by many of the locals for walking club, gathering place, pickleball, volleyball, basketball and more!
