About Steve

The owners, Steve, and Karen Grotting are married with four children. They live in Independence, MN with a variety of wildlife and domesticated animals on five acres. She loves to cook and be with her family. He is a city councilman, investor, and junk enthusiast. They are both spending time caring for aging family members. They also provide housing to many families in the area.

Her father was Harold Wind, a Hopkins real estate agent, hence the name Windsong. Although they thrived and had managerial roles for many years at bigger brokerages, they started Windsong Realty so they could be free to serve their clients in the way they saw fit. It is a personal business involving large sums of money. That requires the highest level of service. Their interest in residential real estate is all consuming. They have been at it since 1994. Their love for the small project as well as the large one keeps their brokerage interesting and plugged into trends. They lead with premium photography and imaging. Their service is team oriented with the knowledge that value is found through listening. Windsong Realty will always be small and local. They know the meaning of service. They value the long-lasting relationship.
