After several years of living in Mexico City and extensive travel working in South America, Steven Bryant left the corporate world of sales and marketing with Texas Instruments behind to relocate to Vermont and begin a second career in the food & beverage and hospitality industry. Without much hands-on experience, but with lots passion for travel and food, Steve and his wife, Lauren, purchased their first Vermont venture, The Inn at Weston, in 1998.
22 years later and still residing in Southern Vermont, they are currently owners of The Publyk House restaurant in Bennington. They are the managing partners of Church Street Hospitality, Inc., which includes a portfolio of unique inns and restaurants - The Dorset Inn c. 1796, Barrows House Inn & Restaurant, Dorset Bakery & Cafe and The Lake House Pub & Grille. In addition, they have partnered with local businesses in food and beverage operating the events at Old Gray Barn and curATE Cafe at Southern Vermont Arts Center. They are lead investors in Mountain Top Inn & Resort.
Steve is a member of the Vermont Workforce Development Board and actively involved in several Bennington and Rutland County initiatives and causes. In his spare time he enjoys all the local outdoor pursuits…trail walks with his Labradors, road biking, hiking, skiing and Nordic skiing and scuba diving.
