Steven Downs

Steve has developed his entire real estate career over the past 42+ years right here in Steamboat Springs. He has participated in more than 600 real estate transactions. Steve is a 1972 marketing graduate of the University of Kentucky. He developed his homeowner association and has served as a Director and/or Officer in that organization since 1984. He has served in many positions on the local Board of Realtors including Treasurer, Director, Professional Standards, MLS Committee and Director and the Chairperson of the Technology Committee. Steve has twice been honored by his peers as the Steamboat Springs Realtor of the Year in 1991 and 2008. He earned inclusion in the Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty Circle of Excellence in 2015 and 2016. Steve first obtained the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation in 1990. This designation is earned by less than 4% of all Realtors nationwide. Steve maintains a commitment to all phases of continuing education in our industry and the highest standards for ethical conduct. Steve and his wife, Pinky, enjoy camping, cross country/back country skiing, snow shoeing, biking, hiking, gardening and travel.
