Sue values honesty, integrity, straightforward communication, teaching and learning, humor, and kindness. Working with clients is a collaborative process. She is an agent who works for your goals, not hers. Your objectives are her priority.
She appreciates clients who know what they want, but she also truly enjoys helping the first-time buyer or seller who needs guidance and perhaps some hand-holding. For many, buying or selling a home will be the single largest investment of their lives. She wants to assure you that your sale or purchase will be accomplished with excellence, and with your best interests at heart. You will strategize together on how to best achieve your home buying or selling goals.
She tracks the market and property trends and views new properties weekly on local brokers' tours. It is critical to her that you get the best value for your home, whether buying or selling. The Bay Area is incredibly diverse in so many ways, including home values. Micro markets do exist, and she can help you to understand and analyze areas and pricing.
She can advise you on finding the best resources, such as mortgage brokers, title companies, inspectors, stagers, handypersons, haulers, gardeners, plumbers, and electricians. Clients are invited to call her for any recommendations, long after the close of escrow. She hopes to have a long-lasting relationship with all of her clients, many of whom are now friends.
Her experience includes teaching elementary school and college classes, Director of Development for a start-up tech company, and Educational Software Trainer. Her education includes a B.A in Rhetoric from UC Berkeley, a Master's in communications management from the Annenberg School for Communications, at USC in Los Angeles, and a Master's in Education from the University of New Haven, in New Haven, Connecticut. Lastly and happily, she is a Berkeley homeowner!
