Moving is one of the most stressful times a human experiences. Adding age and illness to trying to sell your home and you have a toxic experience! After a year of no bites on our home, we contracted with Sue Nichols of Lake Realty! Sue guided and guarded us from the pratfalls that are rampant in the real estate industry and within a month sold our home! Sue is one of those people who recognize and has the heart for the people that she is dealing with! I highly recommend Sue if your buying or selling a home!

Great Experience Working With Sue My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Sue Nichols to help us find and secure a new home in the Lake Norman area. We had been coming to North Carolina on retirement location adventures and had met Sue during one of those trips. She wasn't the first Relator we spoke with but over the coming months she clearly became the Relator that we wanted to work with. She clearly listened to the things we were looking for in a home and had the patience to stay with us when those requirements would take an occasional 90-degree turn. She was always professional and always made sure that all the t's were crossed and the i's dotted. A lot of the work we did with Sue was done remotely since we were still living in the Northeast. My wife and I felt very comfortable working with Sue and feeling that she really had our best interests at heart. Buying a home in a new area, far from your existing home can be a daunting task. I can say that we came thru it in good shape - and a large part of that goes to the good work that Sue did for us. Where do I begin? Right from my initial phone call expressing interest in our now property, Sue was so responsive. We didn't know each other at all. I called her number and didn't leave a message. She returned my call within the minute and was so pleasant and accommodating. I learned later on that she even cut her beach trip short so that she could show us the property that we were so excited about. Sue is gracious, personable, considerate and attentive to details. She was extremely available during every step of our buying process. I honestly never felt that was inconveniencing her even when I would barrage her with emails and texts. She provided us with all the necessary forms well in advance so we never felt we had to scramble. She would send gentle reminders to keep us on track (so helpful!). I have already recommended Sue to our friends and family. I was a little sad when we actually closed on our home because I knew I would miss regularly interacting with Sue. I feel that we developed a friendship and not just a working relationship. I shared with her some of my decorating ideas for our new cabin and she took the time to send me information on furniture sales, yard sales and log cabin decorating tips! A wonderful lady, and a very competent real estate agent! I was not familiar with Lake Realty prior to working with Sue. Now, my husband and I have only positive things to say about our experience......and will pass that along to others. Sue represents this agency very well :) Sharon DeVries

We had a wonderful experience working with Sue Nichols on the purchase of a home on Lake Norman. We have moved many times and throughout many states... this was probably the most pleasant experience out of all of the (dozen) transactions we've had. From start to finish, Sue was extremely professional; was readily available to answer questions we had about the house, the neighborhood and the surrounding areas; made herself available to show the house to us (on numerous occasions); gave us various subcontractor names/numbers for work we wanted done on the house; provided a complete list of the utilities we needed to transfer service (since we are not from the Lake Norman area, this would have been time-consuming had we not been given all the appropriate information); communicated all details with the closing attorney's office. The list goes on and on with the positive comments we have. Most of all, we loved Sue's calm and sweet demeanor! We have passed her name and number along to friends who are looking in the area......and we will certainly call on her, should we ever decide to sell our home!! Thank you, Sue! Carol & Jim

Our total experience working with Sue Nichols-fantastic!!! We could not have had a better, more informed, highly educated and completely caring realtor than Sue. We understood that the home buying process can be stressful and Sue defused a few issues, which helped to keep us focused on the main goal. She took the time with us, was always cheerful and excited with us during the whole process. If we ever decide to buy another house, we wouldn't choose anybody but Sue again. She is so competent about the market, the product and the loan options available that it really takes some of the stress right off your shoulders because you know you're safe working with her. I was relocating from Seattle to the Charlotte area, and referred to Sue by a relative. She went above and beyond to work with me, given I was 3000 miles away. With her help and knowledge of the area, I was able to make a decision with very little time to look at properties (one day). She even offered to look at places and give me her feedback. This was so important to me, as I was traveling in my old position, and overseas during this time. During the offer and purchase process, she offered assistance to help me with coordinating mortgage paperwork with my mortgage broker, easing my mind while I was in transition and trying to start in my new job. I cannot express enough thanks for what she did in providing expert service and support during a very stressful time. Without that help, I would not have been successful in getting what I needed to have done. We were fortunate to have a family member recommend Sue Nichols. Relocating from another state is difficult but Sue went out of her way to ensure the move was as easy as possible. Her knowledge of the area, properties, management processes were invaluable. When the townhouse we signed for did not have the appliances advertised, she contacted the management company and made it happen when exceeded our expectations. We used Sue Nichols to help us by a condo on Lake Norman. Since we were moving from out of state we needed someone we could trust 100% to be our eyes in the area. Sue was wonderful from the start. She was informative, patient and knowledgable. We spent many weekends doing marathon showings, if condos came on the market she would preview them to see if they suited our needs to save us a needless trip to view them. When we found the right condo she handled the inspection and other odds and ends for us since we were not living nearby.
