Born and raised in Yokohama, Japan, Sugandhi has lived in Chicago's North Side since 2011. She is bilingual in English and Japanese and has a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University and a Masters of Science in Education from Northwestern University. In her free time, Sugandhi enjoys traveling and playing board games with her husband and children, and she is semi-obsessed with golf and Lincoln Karaoke.
