Born in Seoul, Korea, Sunae immigrated as a 10-year-old and was raised in Pebble Beach, graduating from Carmel High. Moving to San Francisco, she earned her B.A. in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in Delinquent Psychology; then working on the gang task force to help at-risk youths and their families.

As an entrepreneur, she has owned five dry cleaning plants and shops, a tech distribution company and has partnered in business start-ups giving her fine-tuned people skills and a unique insight into the business of real estate.

Sunae Chon has had many lives, having studied in Buddhist monastery, been a flight attendant, and hair stylist in the past. She loves playing golf, going diving on occasion, and getting out in nature.
