As a young woman, Sundra Johnson was raised in the church. She had no idea at the time how her faith would present parallel paths that she would follow in order to serve her calling. This includes the day she heard a clear message from God while attending church. He said, “I’m gonna use you here.” And today, she is now an Ordained Minister who inspires and serves others to achieve their dreams through their own purpose and calling. Born and raised in Upstate South Carolina, she was one of five siblings. Her Mom modeled resilience and determination throughout her childhood, giving her a strong sense of faith and work ethic. As a result, she began her journey as a young adult by earning an Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Science, followed by a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Everything she did, she excelled in, and the progression of those values eventually landed her a position as Director of Procurement working for the city of Richmond, Virginia. Initially, she didn’t want that role, but says that God spoke to her, encouraging the calling. It was totally life changing because she was relocating to a place where she knew no one and nothing about the area. However, it led her exactly where she needed to be, and set her up to help many people not only through ministry, but through eventually opening her own real estate brokerage. Her foray into real estate came about when she saw an ad in the local newspaper for real estate classes. By that time, she was ready for a career change. She knew her expertise in contracting and negotiating would help her to serve her clients well. She also remembered a friend’s recent negative experience with an agent, which had left her friend in tears. She knew that she would never allow that kind of negative experience, and that people not only deserve to realize their dreams, but they deserve a better choice. Today, she’s the Broker/Owner of J & S Real Estate, where she uses her experience, expertise, and calling to help her clients turn their dream home & life into a reality. That’s how she has earned the mantra, “Making Dreams a Reality”. As a testament to her newfound direction, one day a client mentioned that she’d like to have a yard sign that said, “God Did It”, Sundra surprised her with one at the end of the closing. Little did she know, this sign would become a signature of her business and today people that are not even her clients will ask for a sign. Now, several years after that closing, “God Did It” signs are posted in yards all over the Richmond Tri-Cities area and people mention them to her often. Today, Sundra is known for building an empowering brokerage where anything is possible if you just believe. She has earned 6 critical real estate certifications to provide specific expertise for military families & seniors. She and her agents excel in research, contracts, and negotiations, empowering hundreds of families to own a home. When it comes to real estate, she knows she has been called to serve those who are seeking a dream home & life. As an Ordained Minister, she has traveled to such places as Kenya, Ghana, Israel, Dubai, Vienna, Budapest, and Austria on missions trips. She also founded a program called Release the Greatness, a ministry to help women reach their God ordained destiny. When Sundra isn’t making dreams come true both at home and abroad, she loves spending time at home or at church with her family. She also enjoys listening to music, audio books and watching movies. Her desire is to be an accomplished New York Times Best Selling Author and Professional Speaker that leaves positive, indelible and life-changing marks in people's lives that cannot be erased. Above all, she takes great pride in knowing that she plays some part in helping others step out into the unknown and realize their dreams, especially when they didn’t think it was possible.
