About Sunny
Sunny Alexander | Real Estate Broker, VA Loan Advocate, & Military Community Supporter in Tampa Bay
Sunny Alexander understands that while real estate is a business, every transaction is deeply personal and emotional for the homeowner. That understanding is what drew her to the industry over thirteen years ago. As a Tampa-based Realtor specializing in VA loans, and as a veteran and military spouse, Sunny has moved her family across the country, facing the challenges of buying, selling, and settling into new homes and communities. Through these experiences, she developed an expertise in navigating real estate for military families, securing the best deals during tough times, and mastering transient homeownership. Real estate and property management were a natural fit for her passion and skills.
After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point, Sunny earned a commission in the U.S. Army, where she served with distinction for six years. Her journey began at Fort Bragg, NC, where she met her husband while jumping out of perfectly good airplanes, and concluded at Fort Belvoir, VA, where she had the honor of serving Gold Star Families and military families with Wounded Warriors.
Following her transition from the military, Sunny earned her Master’s in Corporate Communications, further refining her marketing expertise to help homeowners and investors succeed in real estate. Her family’s final military assignment brought them to Tampa Bay, where they fell in love with the community. After her husband’s retirement, making Tampa their forever home was an easy decision.
Sunny’s dedication to supporting veterans in Tampa Bay extends beyond her real estate practice. She has been a strong advocate for the VA loan program, meeting with government leaders to address and overcome its challenges and misconceptions. Sunny works tirelessly to educate both buyers and sellers about the benefits of VA loans in Tampa, ensuring veterans have fair opportunities in the housing market. She also volunteers with veteran organizations nationwide, assisting service members as they transition out of the military and into civilian life.
Sunny is deeply connected to the local community. She serves as the Board Secretary for the Tampa Downtown Rotary Club and on the Board of Directors for the West Point Society Florida, 21&Change (a nonprofit supporting special needs children), and Amazing Love Ministries (serving the homeless and less fortunate). Her dedication to community impact earned her the 2019 Ambassador for Change Award from 21&Change. She also earned Broker of the Year, Sentry Residential 2024, and Tsunami Award West Point Realtor Network 2024.
As a top-performing real estate Broker in Tampa Bay, Sunny specializes in helping veterans and military families buy and sell homes in areas like Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and Sarasota. Her expertise and dedication have earned her a place in the top 5% of Realtors in Tampa Bay, a testament to her ability to deliver exceptional results for her clients.
Through every transaction, Sunny remains dedicated to her core belief in faithful service to family, friends, and community, ensuring that every client feels supported and empowered as they achieve their real estate goals.
