About Susan
A Senior Global Real Estate Advisor and resident expert in the Mercer Island community for over 25 years, Susan Gebhardt creates strategic solutions with proven results. She is a leader in educating consumers on trends, from implementing the latest market intelligence and robust communication platforms to strong knowledge of the area's renowned school systems and secondary markets. Susan is an authoritative figure when it comes to waterfront homes. Not only has she lived her own life at the water's edge, she has completed over fifty waterfront transactions on Mercer Island's coveted shores. She also specializes in the Eastside and Seattle's most distinctive neighborhoods with in-depth knowledge of high-end new construction, vacant land, and short plats, among others.
Susan's alignment with Realogics Sotheby's International Realty emerged from a shared heritage of white-glove service and award-winning marketing that reaches an unprecedented international audience though the Sotheby's global platform. With Seattle's emergence as a global gateway city Susan extends her expertise in managing real estate transactions from around her corner to around the world.
An outgrowth of her experience as a teacher meeting the needs and interests of her students and her constant relocation as a military spouse, Sue is an advocate for her clientele in every sense of the word. A graduate of Harvard Law School's Executive Education Program on Negotiation, Susan uses a heightened level of advocacy and creative thinking in all situations. Susan grew up on the East Coast, and before becoming an agent she lived and taught school all over the United States, including the potato farms of Northern Maine, in the high desert of the Mohave, the ancient city of Albuquerque and on the plains of Kansas.
Susan completed her undergraduate studies at Boston University before earning a Master's Degree in Social Studies from the University of New Mexico. With a passion for the environment, Sue served as Board Member for the Puget Sound Keeper Alliance for five years. Seeking to expand her concern for our environment, she recently completed a degree in Environmental Horticulture at Lake Washington's Institute of Technology. Her long term philanthropic goal is to volunteer as a Horticultural Therapist, helping emotionally compromised children restore their emotional strength through nature.
