Susan Rekward

Born and raised in the Hawkeye state, Susan grew up in Davenport, Iowa and graduated from Davenport West before attending Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. She obtained her masters degree in teaching foreign languages from the University of Iowa, and moved permanently to Iowa City to teach French in 1997. Susan taught in the Iowa City Community School District for twenty-two years, seven years of which she served as the coordinator of the World Language Department. In 2020, in the midst of the Covid-19 crisis, Susan left teaching and launched a career in Real Estate.

Dedicated to helping her clients find their perfect home, Susan loves helping people understand the ins and outs of the home buying and selling process. Having lived in the Iowa City area for over twenty years, Susan is well acquainted with the area’s housing market and everything this wonderful community has to offer. She also enjoys the opportunity to work with people who may have a limited knowledge of English in helping them meet their housing needs.

Susan is active in her church community. She has been a foster parent to over a dozen amazing kids, is the proud mother of a Hoover Hawk, and enjoys attending her daughter’s many activities.
