Suzanne McKechnie

Suzanne has 25 years’ experience assisting businesses with marketing, promotion and business development, with over a decade of experience exclusively as a commercial realtor in Southern Maine. She previously worked as the Executive Director of the Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Arundel Chamber of Commerce, as Economic Development Specialist with the Sanford Regional Economic Growth Council and as Project Development Officer for the Maine Office of Tourism.
Previously she owned and operated a small café and retail dive shop in Southern Maine that supported the development of a jointly owned and operated Zero Gravity Diving Center, an aquatic water therapy program teaching people with disabilities to swim and scuba dive. This program was recognized nationally including airing on NBC Dateline and ABC Good Morning America.
Suzanne is knowledgeable on state and local business incentive programs, and in the industries of manufacturing, tourism, healthcare and specialty retail. She is passionate about delivering professional service and dedicated to assisting business for the prosperity of the communities and the individuals they serve.
She is a graduate of University of Southern Maine, served as a volunteer on American Arthritis Foundation, America Red Cross, American Diabetes Association and previously named volunteer of the year by American Cancer Foundation, Portland, 1998.
Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in community and civic organizations including, Lions, Rotary, Kiwanis, Mobilize Maine, and the Maine Beaches Association, as well as the Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Arundel Chamber of Commerce, Biddeford Saco Chamber, Wells Chamber, Sanford Springvale Chamber and Ogunquit Chamber. She is a Maine native and resides in Kennebunk, Maine.
She enjoys the great outdoors, in all seasons, especially biking the seacoast and in winter, skiing down hill and x-country!
