About Tamara

Tami Almquist has lived in the Pocono Mountains since 1984, after moving with her family from New Jersey to Paradise Valley while still in grammar school. Tami Almquist obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology from East Stroudsburg University and attended the University of Scranton for Business and Healthcare Administration. After a successful ten years in the healthcare field, Tami Almquist decided to embrace nature; she took two months to hike the Appalachian Trail, finishing the trail in six states from West Virginia to Massachusetts. Her desire to share with others all the Pocono Mountains has to offer has led me to pursue a career in real estate with Pocono Mountain Lakes Realty. Tami Almquist prizes herself as a hard worker, a woman of integrity and ethical values, and she raised my son, Alex (23) on those same principles. Tami Almquist currently resides in Pocono Lake, PA where she enjoys anything to do with the outdoors: hiking, kayaking, gardening, fishing, foraging, etc. Tami Almquist can say, with her 30+ years of living in the Poconos, that it is truly the perfect place to enjoy nature - you only have to walk out your front door to see all it has to offer.
