Tammy Mitchell is a sixth generation East Texas resident and a founding agent of Julie Woods and Associates.
She has an extensive career as a real estate investor/agent, mentor, speaker, and author. She is known by many as a master connector and solutions oriented real estate authority. With over 25 years of real estate investing and sales, she has participated in over two thousand transactions, and consulted on thousands more.
Tammy began her real estate career flipping houses in the San Francisco Bay Area before HGTV was even an idea. She enjoyed the real estate business so much that she got her license and quickly became a distinguished mentor to other aspiring agents. She was recruited to lead offices in East Texas and relocated back to be near family. While coaching agents on building a real estate sales business, she also taught investing techniques to agents and local investors through a local REIA, which she founded.
Throughout her career, Tammy has worked in a variety of real estate firms, from national franchises to local boutiques. Her return to Julie Woods and Associates was motivated by the desire to be part of the growth of a stellar concierge firm and have a professional impact on the community.
Prior to her focus in the real estate industry, Tammy was an operations manager at Deloitte and Touche and PricewaterhouseCoopers, responsible for: infrastructure, implementation of organizational changes, growth and retention of consulting staff, and optimal utilization of resources. Tammy worked directly with key leadership to develop strategic recruiting, retention, and leadership development programs to mitigate the excessive costs of staff turnover in a highly competitive market.
Having managed and developed hundreds of staff, agents, and investors over the years, whether in administrative, leadership, or real estate functions, the opportunities have exponentially expanded her knowledge, and increased her value as a leader. Her innate curiosity is one of her strengths that has truly empowered her to not only be solutions oriented, but also discerning in achieving desired results.
Tammy is a published author, professional speaker, mastermind host and strategy coach. She has served many non-profit organizations throughout the years in a variety of roles.
When not focused on business, Tammy’s priority is her family, including the four-legged members. She enjoys writing, reading, traveling, cooking, trying new foods, cheering on her children, going on adventures, and creating memories with friends and family. Her daughter, Marissa, is married, living in Austin, while her son, Dre, is a student at Longview High School.
