I'm attaching a new review to the one I did in 2018 (below). With mixed feelings we decided, when our tenant needed out of his lease early, to sell this place we once lived in & now have rented out for 20 years.We've become Coloradans, so the prospect of making our way through the selling process ~ especially from a distance ~ was extremely daunting. But .. We turned it all over to Tanya & her team &, only a few weeks later, the house is SOLD & we're free to move on.

The transition from tenant / lease to marketing / sale was almost seamless, & done in large part online. What a wonderful relief, & we can't thank the folks at SIRPM enough for their caring, efficient management over the years. It's time to move on, but I'm actually going to miss them. (Special thanks to Tanya ... you know why.)

Three years ago ~
We own a home in Gainesville but it's been rented out for 16 years because our work in parks takes us elsewhere. We've been thru several Property Managers & a crisis or two ~ & have also become familiar with Property Manager pros & cons via a relative's many experiences. When recently we lost our tenant of 10 years, our default reaction was to sell & be done with the place ~ especially as our home was in poor, untended condition, needing a lot of work to bring it back to our standards.

I consider it a fortunate coincidence to have stumbled across Tanya Chappel's website, & one of the best decisions I've ever made to hire her & her team ~ in particular Christina Sanford ~ to coordinate the work & manage our rental. We've been thru a long process of inspection, identifying lists of work to be done & contractors to complete them, finalizing the work, marketing, & finally finding a tenant. Throughout, I've been impressed with Tanya's & Christina's quick & crisp communications & responses, as well as their attention to our home & our needs. Even from a distance, I know ~ via pictures & videos ~ that work has been completed to our standards. And with the move-in video, I know that our tenant will be held accountable for keeping the place in good condition.

If you're a "slumlord" who doesn't care about your property, or if you don't have time for attention to detail & quality work, Secure Investments may not be for you. The same applies if you want something for nothing; Tanya's management does not come cheap.

But if you want your property watched over by someone who takes her responsibilities seriously, is extremely knowledgeable about the real estate business & the area's rental costs & potential... I absolutely recommend you research Tanya's company & consider putting your property in her hands.

I highly recommend this property management company! Secure Investments did an amazing job managing our property and we could not be more pleased with the results. They kept our property fully rented with quality tenants for 2 years. We recently moved back in and everything looked beautiful upon walk-in: the wooden floors had been refinished, the place was clean, and the porch/siding/paint job they coordinated and oversaw looked amazing. Although it is difficult to reach someone when you're in the beginning process of touring/obtaining a place to live in, the services provided once you've established contact is stellar. I was unable to obtain a 1/1 that I initially wanted because someone else had reached out before me (understandable), but Denise found a place that was even better than what I was initially seeking. I so appreciate that they offered an alternative for me, and had kept me in mind. After that, I had the keys in my hands within a matter of a few days.

Also, the videos and pictures on the website were exactly as it was in person. I personally like touring places before submitting an application, as pictures don't always portray the condition of the place. However, their videos and pictures were pretty accurate. I didn't really even have to tour the place.

As we originally did not have any issues with this company, they did charge a "full maid service cleaning" after we scrubbed the house down as well as charged us for other things that most companies do not charge for which is covered under normal wear and tear. Just be wary as they apparently charge you for things not in the lease.

We had the pleasure of renting from these ladies for a total of about four years. Renting a home can sometimes be a stressful process. We all know there are plenty of landlords out there who are not at all attentive to tenant needs and concerns. Well let me tell you, that is never the case when renting from Tanya and Laura! I was continuously astounded by the amount of professionalism and genuine care that these ladies provided. They always responded in a very timely and friendly manner to any questions or concerns. Also, they make things very convenient by providing an online portal for tenants to pay their rent, request for any maintenance, and so on without any hassle! If you ever have the opportunity to rent or work with these ladies don't hesitate! They are the best!

I am currently renting a place from Secure Investments, and working with them has been great. They provide their cell phone number so that way they can be reached at anytime in case of an emergency situation (such as the A/C not working during summer). They respond in a timely manner and are considerate about the renter's needs. They are fair and always seem to have the renter's best interests in mind. Anytime there has been a need for maintenance, they are quick to sign the request and send over the contact information to get it fixed. I would definitely rent from them again and I would recommend my friends to do the same.
