Patience is the word that would best describe Ted & I think that should be the top quality you should be looking for in your realtor. Ted showed us so many properties, I lost count after 10, but every time he had the same enthusiasm & interest in showing those properties. He never made us feel in a (hurry) or (c'mon guys buy something now) feeling. He always said, we'll keep looking, until we find the right now. So overall he is very knowledgeable, professional, on-time & deserves 5 STARS. We'll definitely go to him for any of our future real estate needs.

Navigating the very competitive and cut-throat world that is Austin TX Real Estate seemed very intimidating as a first time home buyer but Ted worked with us through the entire process from start to finish and really made us feel secure with our purchase. One think I look for in a good contractor or any service provider is the ability to answer questions and Ted was able to answer all of mine on the spot (I ask alot) which showed me his expertise extended well beyond the typical real -estate jargon. Being a first time homebuyer is more than overwhelming, especially in a market like Austin. Ted was super nice and informative in getting us through the process. Answered is phone from 7 am until midnight never leaving us hanging. He helped us win a bidding war, get all my request for fixes and touch ups done, and also has a great connection with Supreme Lending that got us approved day one and was able to meet the deadline of closing in 3 weeks. When we first started searching for a place to call home, we were looking for a condo and Ted's name/company popped up so I was quickly contacted by him. Through a quick intro conversation, we learned that maybe a condo wasn't the best decision and that a house was more in line with our needs. Ted did a very good job at thinking outside of the box and knew what to introduce to me and my wife so he wasn't wasting his time and, more importantly, our time. The house we ended up buying was listed substantially outside of our budget but with Ted's quick thinking that the house may be over-valued and very good negotiating skills. we were able to purchase the house with no exception and the seller agreed to more credits than I ever imagined. Ted was great all around, we must have looked at least 30-40 different homes before we where able to find our perfect dream home just outside the Austin city limits, that ladies and gentleman takes patience and dedication on his behalf. Other realtors would have called it quits after the first 6 months. Before every showing Ted would send us the comps near and around the home and ensured that we were well educated before hand. We talked with several realtors before we met Ted and I can't even begin to explain the difference. Although Ted is very highly in demand, he manages to focus completely on YOU and is always 100% attentive to finding the right property. Ted has an ear to the ground and was committed to helping us hunt for a deal and would often send us opportunities even before they even hit the market. One of the things that really sticks out about Ted is that he will tell it as it is. A few times he advised us to walk away from deals and I am so glad we took his advice! When we finally did find a fixer-upper that we could make our dream home, Ted went above and beyond to help us coordinate inspectors, plumbers, etc. and we are very happy with the deal we got. Ted has lived and worked in Austin for many years and is extremely knowledgable about the real estate market. Additionally, Ted is a great guy to talk with and we really enjoyed getting to know him. What's stressful is certainly the market, and Ted was very flexible and able to see homes based on my availability, which is important because homes in Austin move very quickly. I never felt judged for the oddball properties I wanted to see, just because, and I think that's what made me really comfortable throughout the process. I was not an easy client. I was looking for specific locations and a fixer-upper that was actually worth fixing up. Ted understood my wants, narrowed down what he thought would be the closest to what I was wanting and would also be practical. We went through a few houses but in general we had not a whole lot of options becuase i was being picky about location. Ted helped steer me away from the houses that had no potential or would just be too much work and finally we found exactly what I was wanting. It's a fixer upper so finding the house wasn't the only hard part for Ted. The financing, inspection, and pretty much whole process is a bit tougher on these types of property unless you pay cash, which I was not. With Ted and a little luck everything worked out great. I have the house i wanted in an amazing location. I would say I got more than what i hoped for and way more than what i expected. Jon Martin
