Teri Tate

Teri Tate is a Seguin, Guadalupe County resident and has been 25+ years and is very proud to call this community her home. She strives to serve and has been on several committees throughout her tenure here in Seguin from the ACS (American Cancer Society) as early as the mid nineties to Hospital Foundation to ICA, Rodeo and more. Teri was an integral member of the chamber of commerce in the late 1990s and early 2000s assisting with fundraising. As her community involvement and relationships developed so did her career in insurance. Teri became licensed in 1994 and has been working actively in the insurance industry since then until she decided to add something new to her “belt” and in 2016 dove in to the real estate industry. Teri felt it was a good fit given the need to be customer service and detail oriented as she had learned with the insurance business.

In the insurance environment, Teri has served as a client service representative earning the CISR designation, an underwriter, a supervisor over an Excess Flood Insurance program that grew in just a few years from 2 employees to 13 and USAA being her largest client. Teri has also served on the claims side of the insurance industry, working as an independent adjuster for a Crop Insurance Company. Most of the time spent behind the desk as a service person was working with commercial business risks with about 6 years of personal lines prior to that.

Personally, Teri is a mother of a young son in which she strives to be a good role model for and was born and raised in the agricultural world, working cattle all of her life and riding horses. As a young person she received the Lone Star FFA Degree and the Lyndon B Churchill Scholarship Award, which was only given to one graduating senior.

Teri brings to the table a skill set that would benefit a client purchasing or selling property, residential or rural, while combining both the insurance and real estate knowledge.
