Lucky for residents, Interstate 35 and Highways 337 and 46 weave through the city, providing convenient access around town. Inhabitants enjoy a speedy average commute of around 24 minutes, and although most of the population drives and carpools into work, the city is working on developing quality public transport for its residents. Those traveling out of town can take advantage of the city's New Braunfels Regional Airport, located moments east of downtown, or travel 30 minutes southwest to the San Antonio International Airport.
