Years ago, my husband and I bought our first new home. We were so excited—picking out every detail, imagining the perfect space for our future. But we were blindsided by an unexpected, massive tax bill. As first-time homeowners, we had unknowingly closed on unimproved taxes. That shock made me realize how much homebuyers don’t know—and how costly those surprises can be. I never wanted anyone else to go through that same stress.
That experience changed everything for me. I dove into real estate, determined to guide buyers through the process the right way. I quickly became the #1 Sales Counselor for a top private builder, helping hundreds of families navigate the new home buying process. When the Great Recession hit, I adapted, working with a top 5% Realtor team before returning to homebuilding. Leading a sales team, we exceeded expectations year after year, achieving 115% of our sales plan for a decade while maintaining a 98% customer satisfaction rate.creating a top 5% Realtor team before returning to homebuilding. Then, the builder I worked for was acquired by a national public builder. With corporate restructuring and a shifting company culture, I saw an opportunity to pivot. I decided it was time to take my expertise beyond just one builder and focus on helping empty nesters find their right-sized home—while also coaching and training the next generation of new home sales consultants and Realtors.
At the same time, life at home was changing, too. My husband faced serious health struggles and became a below-knee amputee. Our son had grown up and followed in my footsteps, launching his own career in new home sales. Suddenly, we were empty nesters. But our home—once perfect for a growing family—no longer fit our new stage of life.
We began searching for a home that truly works for us—a place that fits our lifestyle, allows us to entertain, and, most importantly, provides the accommodations my husband needs for mobility. We want low maintenance, comfort, and a home that supports us in this next chapter. And we know we’re not alone. So many empty nesters are in the same position, wondering, Where do we go from here?
That’s where I come in. I’ve spent the last 20 years helping over 6,500 families find homes that fit their real lives. I understand the challenges of finding a home that meets both practical needs and future dreams. Whether it’s a one-story home, a lock-and-leave lifestyle, or a custom build designed for aging in place, I help my clients find the right home—one that fits their new season, rather than forcing them to fit into a home that no longer serves them.
If your home feels too big, too much to maintain, or just not right for this stage of life, I can help. I help professional empty nesters get low-maintenance living by finding the perfect right-sized home for their next chapter. Let’s make this transition smooth and exciting for you.
