About Terry
Meeting Terry for the first time is not at all like meeting her for the first time. She’s the type of person you feel like you’ve known for years. Her energy and character, in all the connotations of the word, leave you happy the forces of the universe conspired to cross your paths. She brings a sense of vitality, honesty and charm to every relationship and promises representation with integrity on every transaction. She possesses a unique skill set, personality and energy that just can’t be put in a box. Her clients just keep coming back, and it gives her great joy to call them friends.
Terry has always been in sales. She began in a record store, finding that helping people pick great music just came naturally. When she moved to Austin, she worked for the Travis County Medical Society, first as an employee of the Medical Exchange and then rose through the ranks to become Director of Membership. Although she had an excellent retention rate of physician members, she felt like her head was hitting the ceiling. So, in 1997, after the birth of her daughter, she came full circle and started her real estate career. Both her mom and grandmother were real estate women who were both dedicated to helping others. It seemed a natural progression. Terry learned a lot from watching them; she comes from a “long line of caring.” She takes great care getting to know people and works hard to represent their interests above all others. “When I bought my first house, I did not have a good experience with my agent. I felt the agent didn’t care enough about the transaction, or me.” With that experience behind her, she vowed to give the utmost care and consideration to clients.
She’s as unique as the city she loves. When she first moved to Austin in 1983, she moved straight into the “five-seven” (referring to the zip code). She and her family still live there today. She revels in the local music scene, and the funky home-grown places she frequents, “She knows the folks in the deli by name, and they know her.” She loves people, their stories, and their differences. She believes that love is love and the world is a better place because of it. Austin delivers art, music, creativity, and a vibe that feels inclusive and cool. These things she embraces and embodies.
Real estate transactions can be tricky and emotional, but Terry Miller comes well equipped. “She loves to take out all her real estate tools,” says Terry. “She knows she’s got the answers, and she loves getting things done.” She’s not afraid to work hard to get her clients what they want. Her gregarious personality tends to bring people together and deals to happy conclusions. Her focus, dedication, knowledge, and genuine concern for her clients are unparalleled. In the words of a client, “Terry is also a great people person. She’s tough, but always leaves them with a smile — a rare quality indeed.”
