My first job was with a Savings & Loan Institution, which funded my education, including coursework in Real Estate Principles, Law, & Appraisal. I processed & closed mortgage loans in IL for 7 years. After relocating to OH, I worked with a title insurance company, learning how defects in title can affect your ownership rights. Another transfer, back to IL, led me to working for a homebuilder, where I acquired my Real Estate license & sold new homes for 14 years. During that time, I became certified in Construction Management, and earned the distinction of a Platinum Award status with the Home Builder Association of Greater Chicago for sales of $16 Million, in 2004.
After intensive research regarding the most promising places to retire, I discovered the Eastern Shore, here in South Alabama. I was so impressed, that, within 3 days, I put an offer on a home in Daphne, and I’ve never looked back. I’m a gardener at heart and was delighted to earn the Landscape Award in the 4th quarter of 2021 in Lake Forest. Since then, I’ve done a fair amount of traveling, and will continue to wander the world, but I’ve decided to return to the career I know and love.
