About The Larry
For over twelve years until January 2017, Larry was well known as the main news anchor on WLOS-TV News 13, during which time he traveled throughout Western NC to produce weekly "Persons of the Week" segments. Viewers came to know and trust Larry's integrity, honesty, and work ethic, all of which are vital to our real estate clients who come to think of Larry and Jan as their trusted advisors. Larry is a federally recognized member of the Cherokee Nation. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years, and with Jan at his side has raised four children to adulthood. The Blunts have four grandchildren and two dogs, and love to travel when they aren't out introducing newcomers to the beauty of western NC.
Before teaming up with Larry in the couple's real estate venture in 2017, Jan was a communications and marketing professional for public, private, and media entities. That background has proven very beneficial for the team's real estate clients, as has her master’s in public affairs degree with a capstone in zoning, and over five years spent as the Communications Director for Buncombe County Schools. Jan has earned the SRES® designation as a REALTOR® trained to meet the special needs of maturing Americans when helping them buy and/or sell a home. She has also taken special training in meeting the needs of first-time homebuyers.

Larry and Jan are the very best in real estate! They are extremely knowledgeable, and are always looking out for your best interest. Our home was listed and sold quickly, and they made the entire selling process a smooth one. My husband and I recently worked with the Larry Blunt Team on two overlapping home purchases. Buying one home can be stressful but managing two transactions was a daunting prospect. Selecting Jan and Larry to guide us through the process was the best decision we made. We could not have made a better choice than Larry and Jan to sell our home! They listed our house and we had a contract in 4 days! From the very beginning they were so great at helping us navigate the listing/selling process. Selling the home that we raised our children in was not the easiest thing we’ve ever done, but we would not have wanted anyone else helping us move forward.
